i'm smoking a turkey tomorrow. i ordered a turkey from a farm, an organic turkey. a lot of turkeys get injections and they have artificial hormones added -- they're like the heidi montages of birds. but this turkey, i ordered, grew up eating nothing but yogurt and granola bars. i ordered one, i got this e-mail. mr. kimmel. as you may know, the midwest was hit with some very nasty weather a few weeks ago. we had tornadoes and wind gusts up to 90 miles an hour. unfortunately, my barn was blown away. i lost 470 of my 800 turkeys. parts are still hanging from the trees. i think he means of the barn, but -- that being said, i may be short on the heavier 18 to 20 pound turkeys. i wanted a 20-pounder. i'm eating alone. and -- if that is the case, i'll send you two 15 pound turkeys the total weight would be well over 20 pounds so you would get almost a free turkey. i'll plan on sending you two turkeys. you think the heavier turkeys would not have gotten carried away in the tornado. but thank you for supporting -- so i got this -- i like to imagine, like, some family in kan

this morning cutting up the hams and turkeys. 300 hams and 500 turkeys. all in all 500 volunteers will help to feed those 5000 people. that will start at 9:00 a.m. and they will go until 2:00 p.m.. the process does not start this morning it takes them weeks to prepare for this in fact they started cooking turkeys and hams in the beginning of november. obviously you cannot cook 800 hams and turkeys in one day so it takes a while for them to get ready. this is a tradition been going on since 1980 when the first arctic feeding folks. and it is a tradition been going on for 30 years. it's a tradition for families many volunteers have been here many years. they bring out family members to help her to pay in the spirit as i said first meal will be served at 9:00 p.m.. it's not just meals served here they will also have paid lunches for people who want to take their thanksgiving dinner home. >> thank you for the update will check through the morning all lot of eating going on in households across the state and the nation but some people skipping that and hitting
